Anyhoo. From the description:
Our Cranberry Wine is crisp and dry...perfect with poultry or pasta
What it should have said:
...with vaguely antiseptic fruity flavors reminiscent of Trix cereal and an insouciant aroma of cough syrup it leaves a long putrescence on the palate...
Ohmygod was it bad, and in their defense Minnesota wine isn't supposed to be real good anyway and I should have known better but it was a gift and yes I dumped it down the drain. To add insult to injury, from the winery's description:
Forestedge wines are made from the fruits and berries that survive the long winters of northern Minnesota...
Huh? Come again? I know global warming has significantly impacted the harshness of our winters here in damnnearcanada but fruits and berries are surviving up north? Call Al Gore. Now. Evidently we're growing cranberries too. Who knew?
